Best Custom Tactics and Formations EA FC 24 Clubs

4-1-2-1-2 (2)

Maintaining possession is crucial in Clubs, as the other team cannot score while you have the ball. There are quite a few options for a possession-based game, but we find the narrow variation of 4-1-2-1-2 to be the best overall.

This is great for creating chances, as you can regularly bring forward five or six players, all making overlapping runs. This becomes a lot for opposing defenses to deal with, especially if they rely on AI.

Defense

  • Defensive style: Balanced
  • Defensive width: 45
  • Depth: 60

Attack

  • Construction: Balanced
  • Occasion: Balanced
  • Width: 65
  • Players in the box: 6 bars
  • Corners: 3 bars
  • Free kicks: 2 bars

4-3-3 (4)

Although less popular in Ultimate Team, the 4-3-3 is a much more attractive option in Clubs, as players can create exceptional BUs. Having a tall striker with high physical attributes will usually be too much for teams to contain.

Wingers can stay wide to cross the ball and stretch the play while midfielders provide additional options and can even support wingers to put them in the right positions.

4-2-3-1

This formation is not easy to play, but it is one of the best in Clubs.

A well-managed 4-2-3-1 can beat just about anything and is arguably the best way to break down the many 5-defender buses you’ll encounter.

3-5-2

Sometimes you just need a goal in Clubs and there’s no better formation to get one than the 3-5-2. While this is extremely offensive and will leave you vulnerable to counterattacks, it’s also virtually impossible for opponents to stop you.

The fullbacks stretch the play, the two attackers give a lot of work to the opposing DCs, the MDCs open the game and the MOC runs the show. Consider this a great option for matches where you are stronger than the other team or matches where time is running out and you need to score.

5-3-2

If 3-5-2 is the preferred choice when you need a goal, 5-3-2 is the best choice to avoid conceding one. In essence, what makes this so strong is that by having so many dedicated defenders, it becomes a chore for teams to attack you.

Don’t be afraid to send the full-backs forward, as there is normally enough defensive cover to deal with the consequences.
