The final episode of The Dangers in My Heart season 2 has been released, marking the end of the series’ run. As predicted following the success of the first season, season 2 of The Dangers in My Heart did not disappoint and ended with a stunning finale.
In the last episode of the anime, Ichikawa Kyotarou and Yamada Anna both express their feelings for each other, solidifying their newfound relationship. However, when comparing the ending of the anime to the manga, there are some discrepancies. This leads to the question of whether the anime altered the conclusion.

The Differences Between the Anime and Manga Versions of The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 Finale
The finale of season 2 of The Dangers in My Heart saw alterations to the sequence of events in comparison to the manga series.
After Ichikawa realized that Yamada had skipped her audition to join him on the school trip, he hurried down to her floor to confront her. While doing so, Moriya sensei saw them and mistook Ichikawa for Kobayashi, leading to both of them being pushed into Yamada’s room.
Ichikawa took advantage of the situation to express his desire to speak with Yamada. Fortunately, Kanzaki, Adachi, and Oota’s stunt provided an opportunity for Ichikawa to leave the room.
The following day, as the class prepared to continue their trip, Ichikawa revealed to Yamada that he had feelings for her and urged her to leave for the audition right away. To her surprise, with assistance from Kobayashi, Yamada was able to depart immediately.
Subsequently, the anime portrayed the rest of Ichikawa’s class trip and the scene where Yamada confesses in the school library.
Despite this, the order of events in the manga differed slightly. In chapter 109 of The Dangers in My Heart, Ichikawa observed Yamada rehearsing her audition lines on the balcony and later sent her a text expressing his desire to speak with her.
Immediately after in chapter 110, the manga depicts Ichikawa confessing to Yamada at the sacred place, urging her to attend the audition so she doesn’t miss it. Despite this, Yamada does not immediately depart in the manga. Instead, she confides in the teachers in chapter 111 and makes plans to leave for the audition the following day.
In chapter 112, Ichikawa found herself trapped inside Yamada’s room on the day before Yamada left for the audition. This led to the continuation of the manga in chapter 113, which depicted Yamada’s departure, the rest of Ichikawa’s trip, and Yamada’s eventual confession to her.
Despite the anime’s lack of explanation for this change, it can be assumed that the decision was made by the animators at Shin-Ei Animation to have both Ichikawa and Yamada confess in the same episode. This may have been due to time constraints, as the length of the scenes may have posed difficulties for planning the final two episodes if the anime had followed the same chronology as the manga.
In addition, the anime remained faithful to its source material and only made minor alterations to the dialogue, with the exception of the events’ chronological order.
