Obtaining all 16 Daedalus Keys is no easy feat in Hogwarts Legacy. Follow this guide to discover the location of all the hidden keys throughout Hogwarts.

The quest for the Daedalus Keys is one of the most intimidating and time-consuming side activities in Hogwarts Legacy, and many players become discouraged before getting their hands on all the keys and the fabulous reward from this quest.

A total of 16 Maze Keys are hidden throughout Hogwarts, and it’s imperative to find them all to complete the Maze Keys quest and open the mysterious chest hiding in your common room. Whether you are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin, you will have to go hunting for flying keys to obtain a prestigious reward.

However, finding all these keys is a real headache, since Hogwarts Castle is vast and no quest indicator will allow you to track down all these little flying keys.

How to start the quest “The Keys to the Maze”

In order to start looking for these famous enchanted keys, you must first progress in the main storyline, until you have returned from your little trip to Hogsmeade with Natsai or Sebastian.

A secondary quest will then invite you to meet Nellie Oggspire in the gardens of the Astronomy Tower. It is the latter which will launch the quest “The Keys of the Daedalus” .

How to open House Furniture in Hogwarts Legacy

House Furniture are large mechanisms with a lock, which you can find scattered throughout Hogwarts Castle. You guessed it, it is necessary to insert a Daedalus Key in order to open them and recover the token.

The first step is therefore to find a key… or a piece of furniture! Indeed, a key is never very far from its lock, and finding the imposing mechanisms often allows you to quickly spot the key flying in the surrounding corridors. Do not hesitate to overuse your Revelio spell to locate the Daedalus Keys and/or House Furniture.

When you approach a key, it will fly to the corresponding lock. Just follow it until you reach the piece of furniture with which you will have to interact.

You will then have to push the key into the lock during a mini-game. The latter will obviously make you wait while twirling around the frame. Wait for it to pass through the mechanism and push it in as it passes over the lock.

The House Furniture will then open to offer you a precious House Token.

The location of the 16 Daedalus Keys in Hogwarts Legacy

In order to make the instructions as clear as possible, we take the teleporters from the different areas of the castle as our starting point. Here is the location of the 16 Keys to the Daedalus:

Astronomy Tower Maze Key

A first key can be found in the Astronomy Tower. Climb the wooden stairs until you reach the astronomy room, and you can easily spot the Household Furniture, and the key twirling nearby.

Defense Against the Dark Arts Tower Maze Key

Teleport to the Defense Against the Dark Arts Tower and go down the stairs to the landing below. Make a hairpin turn on your left and go under the arch to arrive in a small nook where many students are chatting. Home Furniture awaits you there.

Potions Room Maze Key

Teleport to the Potions Room and go through the wooden doors in front of you. Then go down the spiral staircase to your left to come straight to the Household Furniture.

Central Hall Maze Key (1)

Go down the stairs to reach the unicorn statue, and go down the large stairs on your right. When you arrive at the large door, turn left to find the key. Follow the latter which will take you back through the Central Hall to the piece of furniture.

Central Hall Maze Key (2)

Leave the teleport point again and go up the stairs (the right and left join together. As you climb the second set of stairs, a Household Furniture will be visible on your left.

Great Hall Maze Key (1)

Teleport to the Great Hall and go up the stairs to your right (opposite the fireplace). You will immediately come across a piece of furniture.

Great Hall Maze Key (2)

From the Great Hall, take the exit opposite the director’s desk and the large stained glass windows. After passing through the two large doors, go up the stairs immediately on your left to come across a piece of furniture.

Great Hall Maze Key (3)

Still from the Great Hall, exit again through the door opposite the desk. Continue straight when you cross the hourglass of the Four Houses. After going through the door, go down the stairs. Before going out into the yard, take a look to the right to find a new piece of furniture.

Teacher’s Tower Maze Key

Teleport to the Teachers’ Tower and walk down the corridor in front of you before entering the door on your right (where Gladwin Moon awaits your Demiguises statues). A piece of furniture is right next to the staircase, and the key at the top of it.

Infirmary Maze Key

Teleport to the Infirmary and take the stairs that go down just behind you. You will quickly encounter a statue of a frightened wizard. The House Furniture is just behind the statue, and the corresponding key at the other end of the corridor with all the enchanted paintings.

Library Maze Key

Teleport to the Library and find the fireplace on the south side of the room. You should find a key there that will take you straight to the cabinet located in the opposite part of the room.

Grand Staircase Maze Key

From the teleporter, go down the large magical stairs until you spot the key flying near the portrait of a pensive woman. Follow it up the stairs to find the corresponding Home Furniture.

Clock Tower Courtyard Maze Key

After teleporting to this room used for your first dueling training, use Alohomora to unlock the door at the back right of the room. Climb the stairs to find the key which will take you even higher, to the piece of furniture that it unlocks.

Key to the Maze of the Bell Courtyard

Teleport to the Bell Tower and take the stairs immediately to your left before going through the first wooden door you see. Continue a few meters to find the Maze Key twirling between two pillars. Follow it up the stairs to find the corresponding piece of furniture.

Map Room Maze Key (1)

Teleport to the Map Room and go up the corridor and the stone stairs until you arrive in a room with many barrels. Continue down the hallway to find the key near a pile of cauldrons. The latter will take you back to the previous room to find its piece of furniture.

Map Room Maze Key (2)

Very close to the previous key location, you’ll find a particularly recognizable room with a huge dragon statue. There you will find the key that will take you up the stairs, and to the last piece of Household Furniture.

Once you have collected the 16 necessary tokens, return to your House to find a huge chest with a very special appearance. Interact with the chest to place the House Tokens there one by one.

Once done, the chest will open to offer you a well-deserved reward.
