The Shocking Truth Behind Gojo’s Return in Jujutsu Kaisen

The Internet is once again filled with spoilers for the latest chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen. Fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of chapter 261 of the manga, especially following the previous chapter’s cliffhanger ending that hinted at the highly anticipated comeback of Satoru Gojo.

Much to the surprise of many fans, the start of the chapter indicated that Gege Akutami had finally taken into consideration the requests of fans and brought Gojo back into the plot.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 261: Yuta vs Sukuna

Despite meeting a tragic end in his battle against Ryomen Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 236, Satoru Gojo’s fans have been pleading with the mangaka, Gege Akutami, to resurrect the beloved character.

At the conclusion of chapter 260, which was published last week, Sukuna, who was close to defeat, caught a glimpse of a man he had personally buried. The narrator pointed out that this was the spirit of the ‘Strongest’ that had passed away.

Despite the initial sense of hope it brought, fans were quickly taken aback by the appearance of stitches on Gojo’s forehead in the next panel of Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 261 spoilers. This unexpected development suggested that it was not Gojo who had returned, but rather Kenjaku controlling his body. However, fans remain determined to cling onto any sliver of hope for Gojo’s eventual comeback after his demise at the hands of Sukuna.

However, it was later discovered that Yuta Okkotsu was the one controlling Gojo’s body. He had replicated Kenjaku’s Cursed Technique and utilized it to manipulate his teacher’s deceased body.

Despite the debate over who was controlling Gojo’s body, many fans were dismayed and angered by the idea of him being manipulated as a tool in the fight against the King of Curses. Consequently, numerous fans took to the internet to voice their discontent with Gege’s choice to utilize Gojo as a weapon even after his passing.

Not only that, it was later discovered that Yuta could potentially lose his Cursed Technique and become stuck inside Gojo’s body once his ‘Copy’ technique had been depleted.

Yuta himself came up with the idea for this specific plan to inhabit Gojo’s body, assuring others that it would only be used as a last resort. However, numerous individuals opposed the plan, with Kusakabe also deeming it inhumane.

Nevertheless, Yuta successfully persuaded them by arguing that in order to have any hope of defeating the most powerful Jujutsu sorcerer ever known, they must abandon their humanity. He emphasized that being constrained by morals or personal beliefs would only hinder their efforts in achieving their ultimate goal.

One of the most controversial moments in the chapter occurred when Gojo agreed to let Yuta possess his body if he were to lose against Sukuna. Despite Gojo’s assurance that he had no plans of losing and was unconcerned about what happened to his body after death, fans were left with mixed feelings about the situation. Witnessing their beloved character being manipulated, especially after his passing, was a difficult concept for many to come to terms with.
