After Liam Hemsworth was cast as Geralt in The Witcher Season 4, the anticipation for its outcome has everyone on edge. However, Freya Allen shared that she was not particularly enthusiastic about filming this season.
The fourth season of the popular Netflix series has officially begun production, with the cast recently completing their first table read. During the read, stars Freya Allen, Anya Chalotra, Joey Batey, and Liam Hemsworth were seen looking like a tight-knit group of friends, all smiles and laughter. In a recent interview for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Allen (who portrays Ciri) shared her experience of reuniting with Hemsworth for The Witcher Season 4.
“He truly is a wonderful and kind person, very down-to-earth. I have to admit, I was apprehensive about it for a while, but now that I’m in it, we are lucky to have an amazing director leading us, which has made the experience so much more enjoyable,”Allan expressed. “My character’s storyline is filled with so many exciting opportunities to act. I’m actually very content with it.”

Ever since the beginning of The Witcher series, Henry Cavill has embodied Geralt of Rivia as originally portrayed in the books and video games. The actor has consistently expressed his excitement for continuing to portray the renowned monster hunter until the series’ conclusion.
In 2022, Cavill announced his departure from the series, leaving behind his sword for good. The role was then taken over by Hemsworth, who faced skepticism from many fans. This sparked backlash towards Netflix and showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, with concerns about the potential impact on the dynamic and chemistry of the cast.
Despite Hemsworth’s hard work in the gym to build the proper physique for his character, many are still uncertain if Season 4, currently in production, will be a success.
Express Online was informed by executive producer Tomek Baginski that Liam Hemsworth has already been seen in his Witcher costume and makeup, and he looks fantastic.
Fans are eagerly anticipating Hemsworth’s ability to step into the shoes of Cavill. According to Variety, Hemsworth is set to reprise his role as Geralt in the fifth and final season of The Witcher.
The Witcher can be streamed on Netflix, but there is no longer any news about other spin-off series from the franchise being in development.
