This Actress Has Been Mistaken As A Half Korean Since Her Young Age

During an interview on Allure Korea’s YouTube channel, Kim Yong-ji was posed with the question, “How often do you search for your name in a day?”To which, the actress replied, “Never. I never use Google to search my name. I usually look up my character’s name, but I have never searched for my real name.”

Kim Yong-ji explained the reason behind her transition from modeling to acting, stating, “While I enjoyed being a model, my true passion was to be in front of the camera, not just for my appearance, but to play a character. It all began as a mere interest in acting, but it eventually developed into a dream. I dedicated myself to studying acting before taking on any roles.”

In response to the statement, “Many people assume she is half Korean because of her striking appearance. She has grown accustomed to being mistaken for being half Korean since she was young,” the actress clarified, “That is all true. I do sometimes wish I was half Korean now, as it would make things simpler. However, the reality is that I am not. I have considered taking a DNA test in the future.”

Upon further observation of Kim Yong-ji’s facial features, numerous individuals noted her striking resemblance to Monika, actress Han So-hee, and singer Gummy. Additionally, some drew comparisons between the actress and singer Sinéad O’Connor due to their similar short hairstyles.

In 2015, Kim Yong-ji made her debut as an advertising model. She gained recognition for her role as Hotaru in “Mr. Sunshine,”sparking interest from viewers and launching a successful acting career.

Ever since, Kim Yong-ji has consistently expanded her acting career through her roles in multiple projects, including “WATCHER”, “The Lies Within”, “The King: Eternal Monarch”, “The Tale of the Nine Tailed”, “Somebody”, “Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938”, and more, solidifying her filmography.

Kim Yong-ji has recently assumed the lead role in the upcoming movie “Commission” and has been diligently filming to bring it to the audience soon. With her move to ANDMARQ, there are even higher expectations for her future endeavors.
