It’s every Pokémon Go player’s dream to get their hands on a shiny Pokémon, maybe even a shiny Legendary, so it’s incredible to see that a player hit the jackpot with a day of rare catches.
There are already plenty of these titular pocket monsters to capture when you open Pokémon Go, but among Rattata and Rhinocorn are Pokémon even rarer than Legendary creatures like Mew, the elusive shiny Pokémon.
A shiny variant of each Pokémon with a slight change in hue, or glowing in some cases, many Pokémon fans are obsessed with finding shiny Pokémon, even to the point of trying to complete the monumental task of acquiring a Shiny Living Dex. Yes, every shiny, of every Pokémon, and every form.
What keeps fans hooked is the fact that, while shiny Pokémon are possible to find, they are still incredibly rare, making their appearance an exciting event for any Pokémon player. So, you can imagine the crazy luck it takes to catch two shiny Legendary Pokémon in one day, or even more than that.
Pokémon Go player shares legendary harvest of wild shinys
In a Reddit post shared by a lucky Pokémon Go player, they revealed a sizable catch, including a shiny Landorus, a shiny Obscure Ho-Oh, and two shiny Latias to top it all off.
I am convinced that I should goto a casino byu/notparost inpokemongo
In a comment accompanying the post, the player said: “I’m convinced I should go to the casino. Four mega Latias raids, lost the first two then consecutive wtf? Is there a luck boost or something?”
Other Pokémon Go players in the comments share their jealousy, as one person adds: “I’m at 47 with no success, give me some of that. My last shiny raid is Kyurem.”
One frustrated player shared his own experience, saying: “I couldn’t even catch a Latios because I used my last raid pass and he ran away.”
Meanwhile, a few comments urge the player not to book a trip straight to the casino, with one comment saying: “As someone with incredible luck at Pokémon Go and just back from a trip to Vegas, I can confidently assure you that the two are mutually exclusive.”
Hopefully players get the shiny luck they need in the upcoming Pokémon Go Raids in February, but it’s unlikely many people will be able to match this particularly impressive performance.
