In Helldivers 2, Warbonds are similar to battle passes and are displayed as large blocks on the Acquisition Center screen. However, a slight modification can greatly improve their functionality.
Helldivers 2 separates itself from other live-service games by ensuring that its Warbonds never expire. This removes any fear of missing out and allows players to complete their Warbonds at their own convenience.
Despite its many benefits, there is one drawback to this feature. Since the game’s release, numerous premium Warbonds have been launched, with the Democratic Detonation being the most recent. This means that whenever you want to view a specific Warbond, you must scroll through all the previous ones to reach the latest one.
Currently, it has only been a few months since the release of Helldivers 2, so scrolling through a few Warbond tiles is not too overwhelming. However, as additional Warbonds are introduced, the Acquisition Center screen will become much more cluttered.
Despite its potential for tedium, this issue can be resolved with a simple and compact approach – incorporating a tile design. Each tile would represent all of the currently available Warbonds, with each page containing four to six tiles organized by year of release. For instance, a page labeled 2024 would be divided into two subsections, each containing six tiles representing the six Warbond releases for that year.
This update will create a more streamlined menu, significantly improving navigation. An additional feature that will greatly benefit users is the inclusion of a progress bar beneath each Warbond, indicating the amount of Medals spent.
This idea is also backed by various Helldivers on this Reddit thread, as they believe that implementing such a change would be highly beneficial.
It is also desired by players to have a label indicating completion for each Warbond, as mentioned in a Reddit post. As Helldivers 2 is still in its early stages, it will likely take over a year for there to be more than a dozen Warbonds. By 2026, when there are over 20 Warbonds available, it
It remains to be seen whether Arrowhead will adopt this change or continue their typical method of continuously scrolling through Warbonds.
