On January 20, fellow streamer and content creator, Messy Maj, known on Instagram as messymajj, broke the news of Siyah’s untimely death to his followers.

In his heartfelt post, he urged everyone to send their condolences to Siyah’s loved ones, stating, “Let’s send our condolences and prayers to #Siyah’s loved ones! She reportedly passed away at the age of 17 from gun violence.” Accompanying the message were images of Siyah and links to two news articles—one from CBS News and another from loscerritonews.net.

Details from the loscerritonews.net report indicated that the shooting took place the previous evening in the parking lot of Los Cerritos Center, near Chipotle.

The shooting involved a vehicle with multiple occupants, believed to be linked to gang activity. One individual was critically injured and had to be rushed to the hospital. Authorities confirmed that the other occupants have been detained and there are no current outstanding suspects, while the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department secured the scene for further investigation.

According to CBS News, the victim was confirmed to be a woman, although her identity had not been publicly disclosed as of the reporting time.
