To effectively secure assists, consider the following strategies: buff your ally’s attacks, provide shielding or healing support, or incapacitate opponents to facilitate an easier kill. Notably, if you incapacitate an enemy, they must remain under that status effect when your ally claims the kill for it to count as an assist.

For instance, if you use Mantis to put an enemy to sleep, you will earn an assist only if the enemy is killed while still asleep. If they awaken before being defeated, even if they were previously damaged significantly, your assist tally will not reflect that contribution.
