As it pertains to the Warden build, the Prime Archetype is the Warden you’ve obtained by collecting the necessary item from the Withered Necropolis zone of N’Erud. Warden’s Prime Perk—Dynamic—automatically regenerates shields and enhances the Energy Reserves for N’Erud tech (i.e., Drone and Turret) by 50%. Therefore, pairing this character with Engineer as the Secondary Archetype is optimal for enhancing turret efficiency.

Skills

As you progress in leveling your character, you will have the option to utilize Heal or Combat Drones. However, the Warden excels when using the Shield Drone as the Prime Skill due to its synergy with the perks. The drone will follow and protect you or the designated teammate (warded target) until the shield is fully charged and reduces incoming damage by 10%. Combine this with the Engineer’s Vulcan Turret, which automatically targets adversaries and fires until ammunition is depleted.

Weapons

The weapons you choose to utilize with the Warden Archetype in Remnant 2 can vary, but I have several solid recommendations. For the Long Gun, I recommend the Plasma Cutter, given its outstanding fire rate, making it one of the best weapons in the game. Additionally, consider trying out the new Monorail, especially if you prefer a weapon that charges for a high-impact one-shot.

Enigma remains a popular choice for Hand Guns in Remnant 2, but I was intrigued by the new Repair Tool. This weapon has the ability to eliminate foes, heal allies, and restore Energy Reserves for N’Erudian tech. To complete your arsenal, equip the Harvester Scythe, a melee weapon specifically designed for the Warden Archetype in The Dark Horizon DLC.

Relic

The Salvaged Heart stands out as one of the top Relics available in Remnant 2. When utilized on a grey health bar, it fully restores your HP, and its application is remarkably quick with a 50% use speed enhancement.

Armor

To refine the Warden build, I acquired the new Nanoplated Armor Set, which completes the character’s appearance. You can find it on a hanging body in the Withered Necropolis region of N’Erud. This Nanoplated Set is a lightweight armor that enhances dodging speed and reduces stamina consumption, but feel free to adjust parts according to your preferences.

Amulet

Energy Diverter is an excellent Amulet to complement this shield-focused Warden build. It provides 10 Critical Chance and boosts all damage by 15% when a shield is active, which is beneficial as you’ll be utilizing the Shield Drone. An alternative worth considering is the Zero Dividie Amulet, granting infinite ammo and enhancing ranged damage by 15%.

Rings

  • Ring of Ordnance: Gradually replenishes heavy weapon ammo while carrying or in turret mode and doubles the regeneration rate of stowed heavy weapon ammo.
  • Mechanics Cog: Grants a 15% movement speed boost while carrying the Engineer’s turret.
  • A’Taerii Booster: Increases damage and critical hit chance for heavy weapons by 10% in both carry and turret modes.
  • Custodian’d Bastion: Raises armor by 1 for every 2% of active shield.

Trait

The Barrier Trait has been introduced in Remnant 2 for the Warden Archetype, making it essential for this build. It amplifies the efficacy of the user’s shields, ensuring that the warded target, even if an ally, also benefits. By advancing level 10 for the Archetype, Warden’s shield amount can be boosted by +15%.
