Kick streamer Trainwreck has recently acknowledged the monumental success of fellow streamer Kai Cenat, asserting that Kai has “singlehandedly” rescued Twitch from potential decline.
Kai Cenat stands out as one of the globe’s most prominent streamers, having amassed numerous accolades and collaborated with an impressive lineup of celebrities, including Kevin Hart and John Cena. His streams are not only entertaining but consistently packed with excitement, featuring spontaneous gaming marathons and even fireworks ignited from his own living room.
Breaking records, Kai became the first streamer to reach an astounding 728, 535 subscribers on Twitch. This remarkable achievement has cemented his role in keeping Twitch relevant and thriving, according to Trainwreck.

Kai Cenat is among Twitch’s top-tier streamers, showcasing immense talent and star power.
Trainwreck’s Praise for Kai Cenat’s Contributions
In a February 14 Kick stream, Trainwreck expressed admiration for Kai, while also criticizing Twitch for its issues with viewbotted content. He emphasized, “Kai saved Twitch singlehandedly. Without him, the platform was merely populated with large, viewbotted streamers. Sure, there are about 20-25 legitimate English-speaking streamers, but Kai was crucial for revitalizing the platform.”
Trainwreck highlighted Twitch’s struggle before Kai’s meteoric rise during 2023-2024, claiming that the platform was in “the worst position possible.” He criticized Twitch for failing to properly acknowledge their top streamer’s monumental contributions, stating, “Kai saved them, and he isn’t even aware of it. This guy has to plead for real interactions on Twitter with the Twitch team. In my view, he has carried that platform by himself.”

Kai Cenat’s influence extends beyond streaming into significant brand partnerships.
Kai’s professional trajectory has outshined many of his peers, scoring lucrative brand deals with major companies such as T-Mobile, McDonald’s, and Chime. Additionally, he became a featured creator with the NBA and even streamed during the 2025 Super Bowl.
His star power was further recognized when he received an invite to the Grammys, where he mingled with high-profile figures like Taylor Swift, Will Smith, and Beyoncé. Trainwreck’s assertion regarding Kai’s profound impact on Twitch aligns with the undeniable influence and visibility Kai has garnered across the entertainment landscape.
This isn’t the first instance of Trainwreck voicing concerns about Twitch; he has previously accused the platform of unfair treatment, including an alleged targeted ban in November 2024.
