Transfer Your Ball X Pit Demo Save to the Full Release: A Step-by-Step Guide

Ball X Pit has officially launched on PC, and it’s shaping up to be another captivating rogue-lite that promises to engage players for countless hours. Our experience with the game was incredibly enjoyable, leading us to award it one of the highest ratings of the year. Many of you have likely been eagerly trying out the demo while anticipating the full release.

If you’ve been playing the demo and find that your save progress isn’t accessible in the full version, don’t worry! Below is a quick guide on how to manually transfer your save files from the demo to the complete game.

How to Transfer Your Demo Save Files for Ball X Pit

The progress transfer for Ball X Pit should ideally occur automatically. However, if you encounter any issues, follow these steps to manually transfer your save files:

First, navigate to this directory:

C:\Users\<Windows Username>\AppData\LocalLow\Kenny Sun\BALL x PIT Demo

Next, copy all the contents of that folder.
Then, go to the following directory:

C:\Users\<Windows Username>\AppData\LocalLow\Kenny Sun\BALL x PIT

Paste the copied files into this location. If prompted, make sure to replace any existing files.

That’s it! The next time you launch the full version of Ball X Pit, you’ll find that all your progress from the demo has been successfully transferred.

Transferring Demo Data on Steam Deck

If you’ve been enjoying the demo on your Steam Deck, you can also manually transfer your progress if it hasn’t synced automatically.

Switch your Steam Deck to Desktop Mode and open the file browser.
Navigate to this location:

Home/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/3651790/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local Low/Kenny Sun/BALL x PIT Demo

Copy all files from this folder.
Then go to the following folder:

Home/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/2062430/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local Low/Kenny Sun/BALL x PIT

Paste the contents and make sure to replace anything if asked.

Additionally, Ball X Pit fully supports Steam Cloud on PC. This means if you play on multiple devices, your progress will be automatically uploaded once you exit the game, and it will be available on another device as soon as it connects to the internet. The game also features support for multiple Steam functionalities, such as Family Sharing, leaderboards, Steam Input, and it is verified for seamless operation on Steam Deck.
