Attack Type Description
Metal Arm Combo Utilizing their corrupted tentacle-like right arm, both bosses leap to attack you directly. To avoid this strike, remain mobile and do not stay in one spot.
Black Water Tornado This ranged attack is characterized by a fast-moving projectile that travels straight. To dodge, roll to either side as it approaches.
Tentacle Smash At certain moments, the bosses will hover and then rush in a straight line toward you. You can easily evade this by dodging to the left or right.
Tentacle Uppercut The left metal arm delivers a three-hit combo, while the right tentacle is used for an uppercut charge toward you.
Tentacle AoE Occasionally, instead of a ground rush, the bosses will execute a tentacle attack after soaring above, causing an electric AoE impact upon landing. Be ready to dodge away from this attack.
Gravity Pull Similar to the Black Water Tornado, this is a wave attack observed especially after your health dips below half. To evade, dodge into the wave as it approaches.
Hover Rush Here, the bosses employ a gravity pull spell with their tentacle arms that aims to draw you in before exploding. Dodge roll away or sprint in the opposite direction to prevent getting caught in the blast.
Electric Ground Smash Attack Both bosses, merged of steel and corrupted flesh, utilize their unique structure to execute a ground smash that releases an electric wave. The best dodge technique is to roll towards the attacking boss.
Black Water Wave Similar to the tornado, this wave is more prominent after reducing the bosses’ health significantly. Evade by rolling inwards as it approaches.
Massive Black Tornado Alongside the smaller tornado, they are capable of summoning a larger variety that moves slower. Getting caught in it can send you into the purple goo below, leading to instant death.

Strategies for Defeating Amalgam Kel’Roth and Amalgam Relis in Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon

Although facing Amalgam Kel’Roth and Amalgam Relis represents a two-part battle, the second boss only appears after you have diminished the first’s health to approximately 30 to 40 percent. The initial phase is generally more controllable; however, your positioning is key during this fight.

When choosing where to dodge roll, stay vigilant about the surroundings in the arena. Falling into the deadly purple water below the battle arena means death and will force you to restart the fight. Maintaining a safe position on the platform is essential, even when Kel’Roth seems to pose little threat until Relis is summoned.

Refrain from engaging the bosses centrally, as the area lacks edges that could prevent your fall. Instead, consistently stay near the edges where there are barriers, minimizing your chances of accidentally falling off.

In addition to positional awareness, it is vital to equip a Long Gun for your primary weapon choice. The Deceit Long Gun is highly recommended for its significant damage output and fair firing rate, which allows you to deal with the bosses effectively as they move around.

While your weapon will deal most of the damage, supportive skills are crucial for maintaining control over the fight. The Handler Archetype’s Support Dog skill can greatly enhance your movement speed and also revive you if necessary.

Another excellent option for dealing burst damage is the Heavy Weapon Vulcan skill from the Engineer Archetype, which deploys a turret that automatically targets and damages the bosses.
