To access the Ranked mode in FragPunk, players must achieve level 30 on their account. Progressing through levels is accomplished by participating in various game modes and earning experience points (XP).It is important to focus on gathering Account Points (AP), instead of just relying on daily and weekly challenges that reward Battle Pass XP. The image above illustrates how AP is represented in the game.

Players can accumulate AP by engaging in multiple game types, including Shard Clash, Outbreak, and Rocketers, among others. Winning matches is not the only way to earn AP; even the losing team receives points after each game. However, performing well and securing kills can enhance the amount of XP obtained. For those looking to expedite the leveling process, a monthly membership priced at $10 offers a 50% increase in XP gain.

FragPunk features a comprehensive rank progression system ranging from Bronze to Punkmaster, ensuring players are matched with opponents of similar skill, whether they are at the same rank or one tier higher or lower. Below is a list of the rank tiers within the game, categorized from the entry-level to the zenith for seasoned players:

  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Diamond
  • Master
  • Punkmaster

Every player begins their journey at the Bronze tier and must ascend the ranks through gameplay while focusing on winning matches and performing effectively. The amount of points awarded for ranking up is influenced by your current position, with higher ranks presenting increased challenges. Team collaboration and communication are key strategies for achieving the top rank by the season’s conclusion.

Notably, FragPunk divides its ranking system into two categories: Regular (covering Bronze to Platinum) and Advanced (including Diamond to Punkmaster). This innovative tier structure differentiates FragPunk from other competitive 5v5 shooters like Valorant.

Understanding Ranked Shard Clash in FragPunk

In the Rank Shard Clash Regular matches, gameplay mimics that of casual modes during the initial four ranks, where teams of five players compete to either plant or defuse a bomb or eliminate the opposing players. The integration of Shard Cards is pivotal, providing players with temporary buffs, debuffs, or unique advantages aimed at themselves or their enemies. Each match comprises 11 rounds, with victory going to the team that wins 6 rounds first. In case of a tie, a decisive 1v1 duel is conducted to determine the victor.

In contrast, the Rank Shard Clash Advanced mode incorporates all elements from the Regular mode but modifies the Shard Card selection process. Each team designates a Card Captain responsible for banning one card from a total of eight before each round (allowing for two bans altogether). In the absence of a player vote, a Card Captain is chosen at random.

Following this, both team captains will select three Shard Cards each before gameplay commences. The order of selection gives attackers the privilege of making the first pick, followed by defenders who select two cards, then attackers again before a final defender pick. Regardless of whether players reach Diamond rank, they can experiment with the Advanced Shard Clash in casual modes after hitting account level 30.
