The latest GPO Update 11 has added an exciting feature known as fishing to the game. True to its name, players can now acquire fishing rods and embark on a quest to catch various types of fish.
How to Buy a Fishing Rod in Grand Piece Online
To start your fishing adventure in GPO, you’ll need a fishing rod. You can acquire one by visiting the fisherman located in any of these areas:
- Shells Town
- Desert Kingdom
- Logue Town
Head to the dock at these locations, where you’ll find a fisherman. Approach them to buy a fishing rod and bait. The standard fishing rod is priced at 50 Peli, while bait is available for 10 Peli.
How to Catch Fish in Grand Piece Online
After you’ve secured a fishing rod and bait, it’s time to catch fish. Equip your fishing rod from your inventory and approach the sea. Select your bait and cast your line into the water. In about five to six seconds, a fish is likely to bite, and you’ll need to reel it in quickly by engaging in the fishing mini-game. If you’re unsure how to do this, don’t worry; it’s easy to grasp.
During the mini-game, you will see two meters on the right side of your screen. One meter will display the fish, and you’ll need to keep it between the two blue bars by pressing or releasing your primary interaction key. If you succeed, the second bar will turn completely green, allowing you to catch the fish.
There are no specific designated fishing spots in the game; you can fish almost anywhere on the map. However, many players recommend going to the Rough Waters area for the best chance of catching rare fish.
How to Sell Your Fish in GPO
Once you finish fishing, you can sell your catch to the Fish Buyer NPC, located next to the fisherman at the docks. The selling price varies based on the rarity of the fish. Below is a list of several fish I caught:
- Crimson Polka Puffer – 4320 Peli
- Exotic Tigerfin – 3758 Two
- Blue Lip Grouper – 303 Peli
- Tigerfin – 270 Game
Types of Fishing Rods and Baits
Currently, the game offers three types of fishing rods and baits. Here’s a breakdown of each:
Fishing Rods Available in GPO
- Common Fishing Rod: Available for 50 Peli from the fisherman.
- Rare Fishing Rod: Can be crafted at the Blacksmith NPC by using x1 Common Fishing Rod and x20 Rare Fish.
- Epic Fishing Rod: Can be crafted at the Blacksmith NPC by using x1 Rare Fishing Rod and x15 Legendary Fish.
- Legendary Fishing Rod: Not yet confirmed.
Fishing Baits Available in GPO
- Common Fishing Bait: Available for 10 Peli from the fisherman or can be crafted using any fish at the Blacksmith NPC.
- Rare Fishing Bait: Crafted at the Blacksmith NPC with x1 Rare Fish.
- Legendary Fishing Bait: Crafted at the Blacksmith NPC using x1 Legendary Fish.

How to Obtain Rare Fish in GPO
To secure better catches in GPO, it’s beneficial to utilize fishing bait of higher quality. The more rare the bait, the greater your chances are of landing rare or legendary fish.
How to Acquire the Sunken Armor and Weapon Set in GPO
You can also obtain the Sunken Armor and Weapon set through fishing in GPO. To maximize your chances, use the best fishing rod and bait available, such as the Legendary Fish Bait paired with an Epic Fishing Rod. Developers suggest trying your luck in the Rough Waters for the best odds of obtaining the Sunken Armor plus Weapon set.
