304 has gained traction on social media platforms such as TikTok. But what does it really mean, and when is it used?
TikTok, a social media app popular across various age groups, has strict content moderation policies. Discussing inappropriate subjects can result in account suspension or deletion.
Due to these stringent guidelines, creators and users have developed unique terms and slang to address more taboo or adult-themed topics.
One widely recognized term is “accountant,”which refers to individuals in the adult entertainment industry. This slang term gained popularity after “struggling actor” Rocky Paterra shared a song explaining why he prefers to identify as an accountant instead of revealing his actual profession.
Currently, another slang term ‘304’ is trending on the app, leaving many users curious about its meaning. Here’s what you need to know the next time you encounter the term on TikTok.

What is 304 on TikTok?
The term 304 is often used to refer to a promiscuous woman or sex worker. When you input the number 304 into an old-school LED calculator and flip it upside down, it resembles the word “h*e,”which is sometimes used as slang for the profession.
The most popular Urban Dictionary definition for 304 states that it’s “a way to refer to a thot or b*tch as a h*e without explicitly calling her that.”
On TikTok, however, the term is largely used by women themselves and generally does not carry a negative connotation.

With TikTok banning certain words or phrases, a community known as ‘304tok’ has formed, which allows sex workers to share their experiences, answer questions, and educate others.
