Players of Diablo 4 have stumbled upon an impressive new build for the Druid class in Season 7, enabling them to unleash extraordinary levels of negative damage in the millions. This latest power-up exemplifies how seasonal updates consistently bring forth overpowering character configurations.
With the introduction of Season 6, which arrived alongside the Vessel of Hatred DLC, a new class named Spiritborn emerged, quickly revealing multiple formidable builds. One such variant was so potent that it could inflict trillions of damage, highlighting a significant gameplay imbalance that was ultimately traced back to a bug.
Unleashing Gazillions: The Season 7 Druid Build
Content creator Rob2628 has released several videos detailing a particularly unbalanced build for the Druid in Season 7. This specific build utilizes the Cataclysm mechanic, allowing players to achieve astounding damage figures.
In one of his streams, Rob2628 remarked, “this is Spiritborn numbers now with Cataclysm… [the Druid’s] hitting for -10 gazillion damage here. It’s Cataclysm infinite damage scaling… this build is already speed farming” at Pit Tier 150. This demonstration captures the essence of the Druid’s newfound capabilities in the game’s challenging environments.
In a subsequent video, Rob2628 expressed uncertainty regarding the underlying cause of the Druid’s overwhelming power. He speculated that the Cataclysm’s scaling might be interacting with the class’s most potent multipliers, creating an unintentional cascade of damage that players are now benefiting from.
Many players are left pondering whether the developers at Blizzard will take action to rectify the Druid’s overpowered build in an upcoming patch. Previous experience suggests that the development team may opt to maintain the flawed configuration, as seen with the Spiritborn build in Season 6, which was left untouched due to its entertaining nature. However, Blizzard has yet to comment on this particular glitch.
It’s worth noting that the issues in Season 7 extend beyond just the Druid class. The rollout was marred by another bug affecting a Barbarian Unique, which has since been addressed in a hotfix. Furthermore, this same hotfix also disabled the Hex of Whispers power to improve overall game stability.
As players explore these new builds, the community eagerly anticipates the developers’ next steps regarding balance adjustments in Diablo 4.
