The new Purgatory Island mode rewards players in MW3 and Warzone with a Gore Cannon blueprint after completing a specific challenge; here’s how to unlock it.
Season 6 introduced the Purgatory Limited-Time Mode (LTM) to the Warzone experience as part of The Haunting event.
From now until October 16, gamers can dive into this LTM and enjoy exhilarating squad-based action set on the Rebirth Island Hellspawn map variant.
Alongside fighting against each other, squads will tackle a variety of challenges, with one challenge particularly offering the Gore Cannon blueprint as a reward. Here’s what players need to do to earn it.
How to unlock Warzone’s Gore Cannon blueprint
One “secret challenge” in the Purgatory mode requires users to survive for five minutes at Torment Level 5.
Completing this challenge successfully is what grants players the Gore Cannon blueprint for the RAAL MG.
Purgatory LTM’s Torment Levels explained
Every time a player eliminates an enemy in the Purgatory mode, their Torment Level will increase, indicated by a series of skull icons located beneath the mini-map. As the Torment Level rises, the XP earned per elimination also increases.
However, the downside is that higher Torment Levels heighten a player’s visibility on the mini-map, making it easier for opponents to track them down.
This means that surviving at Level 5 is quite a challenge, especially for a full five minutes when other players can see your location.
Notably, purchasing the Juggernaut suit at a Buy Station for 40K can significantly aid in surviving the onslaught. It’s a strategic option since the suit provides extensive protection for the user, ensuring a greater chance of survival.
Once Torment Level 5 is achieved and armed with the Juggernaut suit, players aiming for the MW3 and Warzone’s Gore Cannon blueprint may want to find a secure spot to camp out.
