Unlocking the Kastov LSW in Warzone and MW3: A Comprehensive Guide

Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Season 6 have been officially announced, reintroducing the beloved Haunting event along with new weapons like the Kastov LSW LMG.

Launching on September 18, this marks the final seasonal update before the release of Black Ops 6 on October 25. To honor the Halloween season, horror legend Michael Myers will be featured, as well as Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead. This update will also alter the meta with the introduction of the formidable LMG, which is expected to excel in close-range engagements.

Here’s how to unlock the Kastov LSW in the final season before the arrival of Black Ops 6.

How to Unlock the Kastov LSW in Modern Warfare 3 & Warzone

To acquire the Kastov LSW, you must complete Sector 9 of the Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Season 6 Battle Pass once it goes live on September 18.

All new Call of Duty weapons are accessible for free, meaning you won’t need to purchase the Premium Battle Pass or BlackCell – just progress through to Sector 9 and claim all the rewards on that section. It shouldn’t take long, especially as you can choose the most efficient route towards unlocking it.

You can take a direct approach to unlock the Kastov LSW.

Traditionally, LMGs are designed for long-range combat with lower mobility yet larger magazines, but the Kastov LSW breaks the mold by being tailored for short to medium ranges.

With its “best-in-class fire rate and Tac Stance accuracy,” you can maneuver efficiently in close-quarters battles without the need for perfect aim. Coupled with an LMG’s large magazine and the LSW’s quick reload time, you could dominate on smaller maps.

Although primarily intended for close-range combat, the developers have indicated that you can modify the weapon for long-range use by adding attachments to enhance its damage range and bullet velocity.

While the Kastov LSW excels at close-quarter scenarios, the newly introduced DTIR 30-06 may appeal to players who favor long-range engagements, as it offers high damage per shot despite a slower fire rate.

Additionally, both weapons will be available for use on Warzone’s new Area 99 map with Black Ops 6’s integration, as well as in Verdansk in 2025.
