Upcoming Movie Removed from Netflix’s 2024 Lineup

As of next month, Netflix will no longer be streaming one of the top-grossing films of 2023, Super Mario Bros. Movie. If you have not yet watched it, now is your chance.

Despite its success this year, the streaming service will be removing some of its most popular TV shows and movies from its platform as part of its monthly cull. Unfortunately, this includes the highly profitable Super Mario Bros. Movie, which was one of the biggest hits of 2023.

In April 2023, the animated movie was released and went on to become the second-highest grossing film of the year, falling just behind the incredible successes of Barbie and Oppenheimer.

Since its release on Netflix in December 2023, this movie has consistently been in the Top 10 chart and has outperformed all other films in 2024. However, starting October 2, it will no longer be accessible on the streaming platform.

Despite its massive financial success, Super Mario Bros. also received critical acclaim. The film was recognized with three Golden Globe nominations, in categories such as Best Animated Feature, Best Original Song, and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.

The film centered around Mario (played by Chris Pratt) and Luigi (played by Charlie Day), showcasing how they were transported into the magical world of the Mushroom Kingdom and their journey as heroes in this new land.

With the inclusion of characters like Peaches, Bowser, and numerous Koopas, Super Mario Bros. has been a major success for Netflix. The movie has consistently appeared on the Top 10 charts since its release on the platform.

Therefore, if you want to watch the video game adaptation before your subscription ends, this is your final opportunity!

Additionally, you can find updates on Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 and explore the selection of new movies available for streaming this month.
