Following Kep1er’s disclosure of several items from their dormitory that were previously owned by IZ*ONE, fans are criticizing WAKEONE for their lack of generosity.
On June 5, 2024, the most recent installment of Lee Chaeyeon’s popular drinking show, “Inssadong Sulzzi,”was released on YouTube. In this episode, Kep1er joined Chaeyeon as a special guest, and the two of them had a relaxed conversation about their personal lives, professional careers, and more while enjoying shots of soju and snacking on dried treats.
While the show was airing, the topic of their dorm life was discussed. The Kep1er members disclosed that many items in their dorm were previously used by IZ*ONE. It was revealed that they had actually resided in the same dorm as IZ*ONE. Among the items they inherited were a TV, fridge, sofa, and other belongings.
Upon learning this, Chaeyeon asked Kep1er how they knew that the things used to belong to IZ*ONE. Yeseo then disclosed that upon opening the freezer, she had come across an item labeled “Da best Hitomi,”which belonged to Honda Hitomi, a previous member of IZ*ONE who is currently active in Japan.
Upon learning this, Chaeyeon shared that their possessions were inherited from the previous “Produce”group, WANNA ONE. This sparked excitement among fans, who were touched by the strong sense of camaraderie between the three groups and even made lighthearted jokes about their shared items.
Despite the news, not everyone shared the same level of enthusiasm.
Despite debuting in 2017, WANNA ONE has been using items in their dorms for over seven years. This has led to speculation that some of the items, particularly electronic devices, may be outdated. Fans have questioned why WAKEONE, a newer group, has not provided them with newer items.
Furthermore, if a large number of people consistently used these items, their quality may have declined, rendering them unsuitable for use at present.

Despite all three groups – WANNA ONE, IZ*ONE, and Kep1er – achieving success, it has been noted that the company has ample resources to provide Kep1er with new items. As all groups have sold millions of albums, it raises questions as to where the company is allocating the funds if not towards Kep1er.
We would love to hear your thoughts on the situation. Please share them with us in the comments section below!
