The latest update in Warzone has seen several of its most widely-used Assault Rifles undergoing subtle nerfs that players might not have immediately noticed. As new seasons in Warzone approach, the developers of this iconic Call of Duty battle royale frequently introduce weapon modifications that significantly alter the competitive landscape. Major updates typically feature a broad array of buffs and nerfs, and these are often followed by smaller patches designed to address lingering issues.
Such adjustments are particularly common when a specific weapon rises to dominance, becoming the go-to choice among players. During Season 4 Reloaded, for instance, the Krig was undoubtedly the most formidable Assault Rifle available, prompting its recent nerf implemented in a patch on July 8. The changes included an increase in recoil and a reduction in damage multipliers, but this isn’t the only development worth noting.

Buffs for Ames 85, Kilo-141, and GPR 91 in Warzone
In addition to the nerf handed to the Krig, the developers have rolled out significant buffs to the Ames 85, Kilo-141, and GPR 91 models. Notably, the Ames 85 has now increased its Maximum Damage Range from 31.7m to 35.5m, while its Medium Damage Range 1 has improved from 40.6m to 45.7m. Furthermore, the Headshot multiplier for this weapon has been enhanced from 1.2x to 1.3x, boosting its lethality.
Similarly, the Kilo-141 has seen improvements in its performance; the bullet velocity has been raised from 870m/s to 905m/s. The GPR 91 has received a Maximum Damage Range increase from 33m to 38m, its Medium Damage Range 1 boosted from 45.7m to 49.5m, and a slight enhancement in the Lower Torso multiplier from 0.8x to 0.85x. Additionally, players will find that Aim Down Sight speed is now faster, moving from 240ms to a more responsive 230ms.

Moreover, the DM-10 has experienced nerfs as well, with a particular emphasis on reducing its damage multipliers. According to the developers, “The DM-10 will remain strong in skilled hands but requires more precise shots to achieve its strength now.”
