This week marked the return of the highly controversial Gaia skin to Warzone. Even though he has been improved somewhat, players are still disgusted by his appearance.
The Gaia skin was introduced to the game in September, ahead of the release of last year’s MW3, and quickly sparked criticism within the community. Following this strong negative reception from fans, this skin was removed and underwent a redesign.
Returned to the game this week, the community considers this skin to be at least a little better, but many still think Gaia is hideous to look at.
Warzone fans find Gaia skin awful
After the skin returned, a player posted to the Warzone subreddit, asking: “So, GAIA is back in the game, what do you think of the change?” He added an image of the new skin to give everyone an idea of how it looks.
The response has been far from positive, with many players unhappy with the overall appearance of the skin, aside from its improvements. “We definitely see her better now. The skin remains crazy ugly,” is a comment that reflects this feeling well.
When this skin originally released, the coloring was much darker and there were a lot of transparent places. This made it incredibly difficult to see in the game, and players referred to it as “pay-to-win“.
While overall the situation is better, players remain largely unhappy with the skin and still don’t think it has its place in the game.
