Warzone’s Season 4 Reloaded marks an exciting milestone with a substantial update, introducing thrilling new weapons, gameplay modes, and the highly anticipated return of Resurgence Ranked Play.

The previous Season 4 update already delivered a wealth of content, bringing new armaments such as the FFAR 1, as well as introducing a fresh locale for players to explore. Adjustments to the game’s meta were also significant, featuring an array of weapon buffs and nerfs that keep the gameplay dynamic.

With so much already in place, the mid-season patch promises to elevate the experience further. Let’s delve into everything we know about the upcoming Season 4 Reloaded update, including its expected launch date.

Expected Launch Date for Warzone Season 4 Reloaded

Players can anticipate the arrival of Warzone Season 4 Reloaded on Thursday, July 7, 2025. While the developers have yet to substantiate this date officially, the delay from the anticipated June 26 release suggests July 7 is the most feasible timeframe.

Typically, each season stretches for eight weeks, with mid-season updates occurring midway through. Notably, Season 5 will extend for ten weeks, making July 7 a pivotal point in the season’s lifecycle.

New Weapons Making Their Debut

As part of the Reloaded update, two fresh weapons are set to join the arsenal. First is the Olympia, a double-barreled shotgun that last appeared in Black Ops 3, renowned for its high damage in close-quarters combat.

The second new addition is the Pickaxe, an innovative melee weapon capable of delivering a one-hit kill. However, it does lack the range of other melee options in the game. Both weapons will be obtainable through in-game events or can be accessed from the Armory if players are unable to unlock them immediately.

Return of Ranked Play Resurgence

After its removal following the integration with Black Ops 6, Ranked Play Resurgence is making its comeback with Season 4 Reloaded. This mode will implement the same ruleset established during the MW3 era, requiring players to restart their progress.

The Ranked mode will go hand-in-hand with Verdansk Ranked, operating under a separate ranking system to allow individual advancement in both modes. Currently, however, gameplay will be restricted to Trios at launch.

Introducing Resurgence Casual Mode

In response to the positive reception of the Resurgence format on Verdansk, developers are expanding the experience with Resurgence Casual. This more relaxed variant maintains the classic Resurgence structure but reduces the player count to 44, including some AI opponents.

This mode is perfect for players looking to warm up, teach newcomers, or enjoy a less intense Resurgence experience.

Crossover with Beavis and Butt-Head

Season 4 Reloaded also brings a nostalgic treat with the introduction of iconic 90s animated characters, Beavis and Butt-Head. Promotional images reveal the characters decked out in tactical gear, accompanied by Coach Buzzcut and Todd Ianuzzi.

These beloved figures are expected to join the store as Operators accompanying—or shortly after—the update.

A variety of features that debuted in Clash mode are being integrated into Battle Royale and Casual gameplay. Among the most contentious additions is the Door Barricade, which players can deploy to block entrances, curtailing enemy access temporarily.

Also debuting is the Hand Cannon, a fearsome Killstreak derived from multiplayer gameplay, capable of swiftly dismantling armor and health. These items can be obtained from the new Care Package, another exciting Killstreak that drops valuable equipment.

For those who excel at Contracts, the new Search and Destroy mini-challenge will be engaging. It tasks teams with planting explosives at a Buy Station and detonating them before they can be defused, rewarding players with valuable items once the blast occurs.

Additionally, the forthcoming Loot Master Perk will be exclusively available in Plunder and Resurgence modes, significantly enhancing the number of items retrieved from chests and aiding players in the early-match phase.

As the release date approaches, further details will likely emerge, and we will continue to update this page with the latest information.
