In the latest updates of Season 2, a new attachment for the AEK-973 marksman rifle has sparked interest among players. However, Warzone YouTuber JGOD cautions that this addition may not meet players’ expectations.

As part of the Terminator event in Black Ops, participants are tasked with collecting skulls that they can exchange for various in-game rewards. Players can gain skulls through eliminations in multiplayer, completing challenges in zombies, and opening supply caches located on Urizkstan and Rebirth Island.

This event rewards players with 13 unique items, prominently featuring a new Warzone perk, a Black Ops 6 Scorestreak, and an attachment for the AEK-973 that allows the burst weapon to switch to a fully automatic fire mode.

Treyarch has provided insights into this attachment, indicating it introduces a steady upward recoil that players can manage by applying slight downward pressure on the left joystick. However, even skilled players are reportedly struggling with the recoil control.

Disappointment Surrounds Full Auto Mod in Warzone Season 2

To unlock the Full Auto Mod, players must gather 50 skulls. It is advisable to pursue this challenge within the Stakeout or Nuketown 24/7 playlists, where the smaller maps facilitate frequent gunfights and easier eliminations.

JGOD has tested the attachment extensively in a firing range setting. He concluded that the AEK-973’s time-to-kill (TTK) is 871 milliseconds for long-range combat, while it stands at 804 milliseconds in close encounters, backed by a maximum magazine capacity of 45 rounds.

“The bullet velocity is commendable, but the recoil feels excessive, ” JGOD remarked.“It’s enjoyable to use in mid-range scenarios, but unfortunately, it doesn’t match the caliber of the AMAX.”

Fans of the series will remember the CR-56 AMAX, once regarded as one of the top weapons in Warzone during the Modern Warfare 2019 era. Unfortunately, the new Full Auto Mod does not elevate the AEK-973 to similar heights.

According to data from TrueGameData, the Goblin Mk2 currently holds the title for the fastest-killing weapon in Season 2, achieving a TTK of 649 milliseconds up to 40 meters. Both the AK-74 and Cypher 091 are also competitive, with TTKs hovering around 750 milliseconds at the same range.

Overall, the Full Auto Mod attachment for the AEK-973 struggles to stand up against the elite weapons in the battle royale landscape. It remains uncertain whether its impact is more significant in Black Ops 6 multiplayer, but players should not expect to see the Marksman Rifle featuring prominently in Warzone matches.
