What is Vibraslap in Jujutsu Kaisen? Todo’s Unique Instrument Against Sukuna, Explained

The latest installment of Jujutsu Kaisen, chapter 260, was full of unexpected twists, including Aoi Todo’s new addition to his left hand known as the Vibraslap. After losing his left hand in the Shibuya arc, Todo had previously stated that his Boogie Woogie technique was no longer possible.

Fans were taken aback by Todo’s unexpected appearance, as he not only motivated Yuji during the battle but also demonstrated his mastery of the Boogie Woogie technique against Sukuna. His skillful use of the Vibraslap, a peculiar instrument that seemingly enabled him to regain his lost technique, sparked curiosity among fans who wondered about its nature and mechanics.

Exploring the Benefits of Vibraslap in Todo’s Technique Recovery – A Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 260 Analysis

In chapter 260 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Aoi Todo revealed a Vibraslap, a unique musical instrument attached in place of his left hand. This instrument consists of a wooden box with a metal bar or ‘teeth’ inside, as well as a ball.

After its discovery, the Vibraslap was no longer seen as a mere musical instrument but rather as the crucial element to unlock the Boogie Woogie technique. When the ball is struck against the wooden box, the metal inside vibrates vigorously, creating a distinct sound that triggers the activation of the technique.

After replacing his left hand with the instrument, Todo effectively changed the activation method for his Boogie Woogie technique from clapping to the collision between the metal teeth and the wooden box. This is because each time the metal strikes the box, it creates a sound similar to his original clap, making it the new trigger for the technique.

Thanks to this unique modification, he is able to utilize his swapping technique up to fifty times per second. Furthermore, Todo has placed a Binding Vow on himself, restricting the maximum number of swaps allowed per shake.

The upgraded Boogie Woogie technique remained highly effective and deceptive, even for Ryomen Sukuna. He even admitted that it was nearly impossible to fully adapt to the technique.

Considering that Todo was now capable of swapping multiple people simultaneously, he held complete dominion over the battlefield, acting as a puppet master to create opportunities for Yuji to land powerful attacks and disorient Sukuna. Additionally, Todo was able to rescue his comrades who were trapped in Malevolent Shrine before joining the fray.

Todo’s use of the Vibraslap completely disoriented Sukuna and threw him off his game. Sukuna even confessed that Todo’s appearance during the fight was the last thing he wanted at that moment. By trapping the King of Curses in what appeared to be a game of Roulette, Todo enabled Yuji to land multiple powerful attacks on Sukuna.

Todo’s use of the Vibraslap was truly remarkable as he cleverly deceived Sukuna by having him guess where Yuji would be swapped in, only to surprise him by swapping in Mei Mei’s crows instead. This created the perfect opportunity for Yuji to strike with a powerful Black Flash, causing immense damage to Sukuna’s body.

The Vibraslap not only helped Todo regain his lost Boogie Woogie technique, but also enhanced it to the point where he was able to outsmart Sukuna and completely reverse their roles.
