The end of Episode 8 in Valorant is approaching, signaling the start of Episode 9 Act 1. Valorant E9A1 is set to begin shortly, and players can expect to see new content and updates with the start of the new season.
The entirety of Valorant’s Episode 8 arc witnessed significant changes in the meta, brought about by game-changing buffs and nerfs for various Agents, the introduction of the sixth Controller Clove in Act 2, and the addition of the new sniper Outlaw in Act 1, along with the new Abyss map in Act 3.
In addition, Stage 1 of VCT Leagues in Episode 8 saw Sentinels emerge as the victors of VCT Masters Madrid and GenG as the champions of VCT Masters Shanghai, with both teams displaying intense gameplay.
The release of the Valorant console beta in Act 3 was highly anticipated. As Episode 9 approaches, Riot’s ever-expanding roster of agents and maps will continue to shape the meta with each passing season.
Valorant Episode 9 Act 1 Release Date
June 25, 2024 marks the release date for Valorant Episode 9 Act 1. On this day, Episode 8 Act 3 will conclude, and competitive servers will temporarily shut down in preparation for the launch of E9A1.
Just like previous seasons, the release of Episode 9 Act 1 is scheduled for 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET / 10 pm BST. However, please note that this time is subject to change and may be delayed. If any changes occur, we will update this section accordingly.
Valorant Episode 9 Act 1 Updates
Valorant Episode 9 Act 1 will introduce Ranked game mode to consoles alongside current game modes including Unrated, Spike Rush, Deathmatch, and TDM. This means that with the release of patch 9.0, the second most competitive mode after Premier will now be available to console players.
