Continuing from the previous episode, Rinne, the second installment of the anime series Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World, follows Kai as he is transported to a strange dimension after being exposed to Sid’s sword, also known as the Code Holder.

In this alternate realm, Kai encountered a girl named Rinne who was held captive by chains. He immediately noticed that Rinne embodied the traits of all five races. Despite freeing her, Rinne swiftly launched an attack on him, believing him to be sent by the hero of the Demons, the Dark Empress Vanessa, to eliminate her.

After resolving their misunderstanding, the duo was suddenly confronted by a mysterious and formidable monster that nearly destroyed Rinne. Thankfully, Kai used the Code Holder to defeat the monster and they were transported back to the location where he had first discovered the sword.

Kai convinced Rinne to return to his home after learning that Rinne also possessed memories of the original history in which humanity emerged victorious in the war. As they continued to share their memories and interact, a sudden attack by the monsters occurred in the underground city where humanity had sought refuge.

Despite facing initial struggles against the monsters, humanity’s forces were ultimately able to fend off their attack thanks to the combined efforts of Kai and Rinne. Following this, Jeanne summoned the two to her hideout, where Kai attempted to explain that he came from a parallel world where humanity had emerged victorious against other races.

Despite the initial skepticism of the majority, Jeanne’s doubts about Kai were dispelled when he revealed his family’s history and their connection in his world. Although she was still hesitant, Jeanne ultimately chose to trust in Kai’s knowledge and abilities. As a result, the episode drew to a close.
