Reunion Rumors for UP10TION Ahead of 9th Debut Anniversary?
Lee Jin Hyuk made his comeback to the music industry on April 23 with the unveiling of his 6th mini-album, “NEW QUEST: JUNGLE.”
On this day, a showcase was held at the SBS public hall in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul to promote his new album. The celebrity also addressed inquiries about his solo career and his past group.
Initially consisting of 10 members, UP10TION underwent a reorganization and became a septet when Jinhoo, Lee Jin Hyuk, and Kim Woo Seok departed from the group in February 2023.
Despite this, HONEY10 (UP10TION fandom) continues to hold onto hope that UP10TION will reunite as a full group. This is due to the fact that active K-pop groups are now able to promote together, even if they are signed to different agencies.
During the showcase, Lee Jin Hyuk, a former member of UP10TION, was questioned about his former group and whether there are any plans for a reunion.
In relation to this matter, Lee Jin Hyuk delivered some unfortunate news, stating:
“There are no plans for UP10TION activities. We haven’t discussed it with the members yet as they are currently focusing on their individual activities and lives.”
Nevertheless, he offered fans some comfort by shedding light on a glimmer of hope, clarifying:
“But if there is any possibility, of course, I would definitely like to do it. The intentions of other members are also important, and I plan to suit the members.”
Additionally, while discussing the topic, the idol also assured fans that he and the members are still close and solidified their relationship by stating:
“Originally, I thought the comeback timing would overlap with Xiao’s, but it didn’t happen. So I got a call saying they would support me on the side.
The members usually support each other, and the members always contacted me and supported me during my new album promotions, so I prepared in a good mood.”

Jin Hyuk went on to explain the reason why he decided to participate in the story:
“Composer JINBYJIN and Seungwoo hyung worked together a lot. When the composer was writing my song, Seungwoo asked, ‘Why don’t I write lyrics about you?’ and I said, ‘Why don’t you try writing it? I’ll wait. I’m really happy.’
When I first received the lyrics, I thought, ‘He was thinking about me like this.’ When I asked him how he wanted me to record the song, he replied, ‘Because I wrote it thinking of you, I want you to sing it like you do. So I worked on it like that.”
It was mentioned that Han Seung Woo also took part in recording the guide for “Trainwreck”and, thanks to his older brother’s guidance, the recording process was completed efficiently and as planned.
