Wind Breaker: Episode 7 Recap
Wind Breaker episode 7 opened with a short flashback centering on Togame, who appeared to be grieving the loss of someone. The story then shifted back to the present, where Togame instructed Sakura to join them onstage for their fight. Though Togame initially had the upper hand, Sakura managed to land some solid blows before being unable to gain a clear advantage. In a surprising turn, Sakura then criticized Togame, accusing them of being bullies and responsible for causing the situation.
Togame, filled with rage, confronted Arima and Kanuma. He had come to the realization that their attack on a vulnerable middle school had provoked the Bofurin to retaliate. After delivering more blows to them, he stripped off their jackets, signifying their expulsion from the Shishitoren. Upon his return to Sakura, Togame briefly resumed their battle before pausing to reflect on his and Tomiyama’s beginnings in the Shishitoren, triggering a flashback.
After joining the group, Tomiyama personally approached Togame and convinced them to join as well. The two soon gained a reputation as the most talented newcomers, with Togame being the one to refer to Choji’s positive attitude as the “sun”that the rest of them orbited around. However, when Tomiyama became the leader, he introduced the group’s harsh rules, which Togame willingly enforced in order to maintain Tomiyama’s cheerful presence as their leader. This event is revisited in the present at the end of the episode.
What to Expect in Wind Breaker Episode 8 (Speculative)
Due to Togame’s flashback in the previous episode, it is unfortunate that Sakura is most likely going to lose in Wind Breaker episode 8. Togame’s position as the enforcer of Tomiyama’s rules is what contributes to this likelihood, as Sakura’s defeat would result in Tomiyama’s inability to maintain his role as the Shishitoren’s “sun.”
Similarly, episode 8 should also establish, if not initiate, the much-awaited showdown between Hajime Umemiya and Choji Tomiyama, potentially determining the fate of Bofurin. However, it is highly improbable for Umemiya to suffer a defeat so early on, unless there is significant interference or unpredictable events that could cast doubt on the outcome of the fight.
