Microsoft is currently rolling out an exciting new update for Windows 11, known as build 26200.5722 (KB5062669), available in the Dev Channel as part of the 25H2 development cycle. This latest build is designed to enhance user experience on PCs equipped with AMD and Intel Copilot+ processors, featuring a revamped Settings app, a redesigned Second Chance Out-of-Box Experience (SCOOBE), and updates to key functionalities such as Task Manager and the Lock Screen.

In conjunction with this release, Microsoft is introducing build 26120.5722 (KB5062669) in the Beta Channel, which includes similar features, changes, and fixes but is classified under version 24H2.

Per the official release notes, build 26200.5722 introduces an innovative AI agent in the Settings app for Copilot+ systems featuring AMD and Intel processors, a feature that was previously limited to Qualcomm Snapdragon devices. This update also includes enhancements to SCOOBE, Click to Do, Windows Search, and the Notification Center.

Alongside these additions, this update addresses several issues across the Taskbar, Lock Screen, File Explorer, and more, aiming to strengthen the overall system stability and user satisfaction.

Key Features in Windows 11 25H2 Build 26200.5722

AI Agent in the Settings App

The most noteworthy enhancement in this update is the introduction of an AI agent in the Settings app. This feature enables users to quickly locate and adjust settings using natural language queries on AMD and Intel Copilot+ PCs.

For example, users can simply ask, “How do I control my PC by voice?” or “My mouse pointer is too small.” The AI agent will assist in finding and modifying necessary settings with user consent.

Streamlined SCOOBE Experience

The Second Chance Out-of-Box Experience (SCOOBE) page has received significant redesign, consolidating its originally multi-page format into a single streamlined interface. This makes it easier for users to configure settings such as cloud data backup and browser preferences.

  • File Explorer: Fixed a persistent issue with the “Unblock” setting in file Properties.
  • Start Menu: Enhanced the reliability of touch gestures for the redesigned Start menu.
  • Administrator Protection: Addressed launcher problems for the Xbox app when Administrator Protection is enabled.
