What’s New in This Build?

  • The Settings app has received a visual update, featuring a search box now positioned at the top center for easier accessibility.
  • Various significant bugs have been addressed, including the revival of the Windows Vista startup sound.
  • Resolutions for desktop wallpaper issues, where users would sometimes experience a disappearing background or a black screen.
  • Critical crashes related to the “Power & Battery” settings have been resolved, alongside rendering issues affecting text in the Settings app and associated dialogs.
  • Audio bugs, instances of the notorious Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) presenting the KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE error, and unexpected transparency effects in applications have been corrected.
  • Enhancements have been made to the Group Policy Editor to prevent malfunctions.

Known Issues

While this update includes several improvements, Microsoft has identified some ongoing issues. For users with Copilot+ PCs, upgrading from other channels may trigger error 0xd0000225 linked to Windows Hello functionality. Additionally, the progress wheel might display incorrectly as a rectangle glyph.
