What’s New in This Build?

The Settings app has received a visual update, featuring a search box now positioned at the top center for easier accessibility.
Various significant bugs have been addressed, including the revival of the Windows Vista startup sound.
Resolutions for desktop wallpaper issues, where users would sometimes experience a disappearing background or a black screen.
Critical crashes related to the “Power & Battery” settings have been resolved, alongside rendering issues affecting text in the Settings app and associated dialogs.
Audio bugs, instances of the notorious Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) presenting the KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE error, and unexpected transparency effects in applications have been corrected.
Enhancements have been made to the Group Policy Editor to prevent malfunctions.

Known Issues

While this update includes several improvements, Microsoft has identified some ongoing issues. For users with Copilot+ PCs, upgrading from other channels may trigger error 0xd0000225 linked to Windows Hello functionality. Additionally, the progress wheel might display incorrectly as a rectangle glyph.
