Bug Fixes and Known Issues

The update not only includes these enhancements but also resolves several issues including:

  • Click to Do: Resolved crashes associated with text and image actions.
  • File Explorer: Fixed incorrect behavior in the preview pane and inconsistencies with unblock options in file properties.
  • Taskbar: Enhanced functionality by fixing a glitch that disabled click features when dragging over Taskbar thumbnails.
  • Input issues: Addressed crashes related to textinputframework.dll and resolved IME input errors following “CTRL + C.”
  • Lock Screen: Enhanced reliability, particularly during login and wake transitions, to prevent blank screens and sluggish Taskbar response times.
  • Live Captions: Fixed issues with caption opacity settings under Accessibility > Caption Style.
  • Settings: Mitigated crashes occurring when attempting to add a security key via Account > Sign-in options.
  • Other fixes: Resolved multiple error reports when launching Group Policy Editor and issues tied to dao360.dll in earlier builds.

Despite these advancements, users should be aware of some known issues that remain, such as potential hang-ups in scanning Temporary files settings and an occurrence where elevating Command Prompt may inadvertently open the Windows Console Host. Users might also experience increased DWM crashes or issues with File Explorer’s dark mode when a red hue is applied to low-space drives.
