The official staff of Wistoria: Wand and Sword anime has announced that it will be released on July 7, 2024, as revealed in a promotional video released on Friday, June 7, 2024. The staff also shared details about the series’s theme songs and additional cast members.
As of this writing, 10 tankobon volumes of the manga have been published since its serialization in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in December 2020.
Wistoria: Wand and Sword Anime’s New Trailer Confirms the July 7, 2024 Release Date
On Friday, June 7, 2024, the official website and X (previously known as Twitter) handle for the Wistoria: Wand and Sword anime released a new promotional video to unveil the series’ premiere date of July 7, 2024. In addition to this announcement, the staff also disclosed the broadcast information for the show.
The anime, Wistoria: Wand and Sword, will be broadcasted every Sunday starting July 7, 2024 at 4:30 PM JST on 28 TBS-affiliated stations in Japan, as stated on the show’s website. After airing, the episodes will be available on multiple streaming platforms at 5:30 PM JST.
Surprisingly, the most recent trailer highlights a universe where magic is the dominant force. In this extraordinary realm, Will Serfort aspires to become a Magic Vander, despite his inability to cast spells. Nevertheless, he continues to push forward as the sole swordsman among the group of magicians.
In addition to providing a glimpse into the storyline and displaying impressive animation, the promotional video for the Wistoria: Wand and Sword anime also features the opening theme song, Fire and Fear, by Penguin Research. The ending theme song, Frozen, has been sung by TRUE.
Additionally, the official website has received comments from the artists. According to Penguin Research, they composed their latest track, Fire and Fear, with the theme of determination and fear, which are closely intertwined.
Similarly, TRUE, the singer, also stated that the closing song, Frozen, is a poignant love ballad that captures Elfaria’s emotions for the main character, Will Serfort. The two artists are thrilled to be a part of the production.

Earlier, it was announced that Kohei Amasaki will be joining the voice cast as Will Serfort, alongside Satomi Amano who will be playing Colette Loire. Elfaria will be portrayed by Akira Sekine, and Kiki’s role will be played by Aoi Inase.
Masaaki Mizunaka lends his voice to Zion, while Kengo Kawanishi and Tetsuya Kakihara portray Wignall and Julius respectively. Lynn voices Lihanna, Koji Yusa is Edward, and Tomokazu Seki takes on the role of Workner Norgram.
The Staff and Plot for Wistoria: Wand and Sword Anime
Tatsuya Yoshihara, renowned for his work as the action director on Chainsaw Man, is at the helm of the Wistoria: Wand and Sword anime, which is a collaboration between Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures.
Sayaka Ono has been appointed as the character designer and chief animation director, with Ryou Akizuki, Raita Sunaga, and Yoshirou Harada serving as the designers for the monsters. The sound director for the series is Hiroto Morishita, with Yuki Hayashi composing the music for Lantis.
