2. Recap of Episode 15 of Witch Watch
This episode kicks off with a vision from Nico’s mother, revealing that a force capable of resisting Warlocks is hidden within Mount Kanhachiya. Taking advantage of their summer break, Nico and her friends, including fellow witch Nemu, set off for this mystical location. Upon their arrival, they meet Kiryuu Mahiru, a middle school student with a peculiar formality and a notably rude demeanor toward strangers.

Mahiru and his father welcome the group into their home, where they discover that the Kiryuu family harbors the ability to repel malevolent forces. However, their outing takes a dangerous turn when a Warlock capable of manipulating water attacks them during a leisurely day by the river. Despite his unassuming appearance, Mahiru acts swiftly to save Nico from the Warlock’s grasp, showcasing impressive latent abilities.

The confrontation escalates when the Warlock manages to stab Mahiru, but the situation turns out to be less dire than it seemed. It becomes evident that Mahiru possesses a unique healing ability by absorbing energy from others, revealing that the Kiryuu clan are vampire familiars. Having adapted over time, these vampires no longer drink blood; instead, they siphon energy from people.
In line with a recurring theme, Mahiru is soon invited to reside at Morihito’s house as Nico’s new bodyguard. Grappling with guilt for having drawn energy from his father, Mahiru considers Morihito’s suggestion to enroll in a local high school. This way, he can live with them, alleviating his fears of overwhelming his father’s life force, as Morihito’s home is filled with familiars brimming with vitality.
3. Speculation for Episode 16 of Witch Watch
With Mahiru now part of Morihito’s household, Episode 16 is likely to explore his integration into this new environment. Additionally, viewers may recall the pact between Nemu and Wolf, wherein Nemu promised to visit Wolf monthly to reveal a crescent shape in order to keep her secret intact.

In the next episode, look forward to Nemu fulfilling her end of the deal while navigating her way to Morihito’s place. There may even be a few moments for some light-hearted interactions, such as seeking out headpats. Regardless, Episode 16 promises to be significantly more chaotic than its predecessor.
