The recently released trailer for Deadpool 3 showcases a significant amount of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, as he slices, dices, and curses extensively. Despite this, there are some dissatisfied fans who are being deemed as unreasonable by the majority.
The initial preview for the highly-anticipated third installment of Deadpool featured a brief appearance of Logan, played by Jackman, but in the latest trailer, he is the main focus. Additionally, we are given a more thorough introduction to Cassandra Nova, portrayed by Emma Corrin, and a multitude of other potential cameos and hidden references.
Ever since his debut as the character in the 2000 film X-Men, Jackman has yet to don the comic book-accurate suit. In fact, the first movie even poked fun at the classic outfit when Logan questioned Cyclops about his choice of attire, to which he replied, “Would you rather wear yellow spandex?”
A scene that was cut from 2013’s The Wolverine gave us a glimpse of a suit that closely resembled his appearance in the comics, making it the closest we’ve come to seeing it on screen.
This year, Jackman will finally wear the yellow and blue suit. Previous footage from the movie received backlash for featuring sleeves, but even after they were removed, people continue to express their dissatisfaction.
Here I am thinking about how 24 years ago Wolverine had a black leather suit because The Matrix was hot, but I was 10 and just happy to see Wolverine onscreen. And now he has a yellow suit and is teaming up with Deadpool. Could not give a fuck his shoulder guards get torn off. 😂 https://t.co/JVj9wLYMjl

A user tweeted, questioning why the shoulder guards were removed when the sleeves are already off, which ruins the entire Wolverine look. This sparked a trend of quick PhotoShop edits, with many adding the shoulder guards back in.
Some expressed their preference for Wolverine to have his signature shoulder pads, with one user stating, “I personally don’t see the point in a sleeveless Wolverine without the shoulder pads.”Another user echoed this sentiment, saying “I agree, Wolverine just looks cooler with the big ol’ shoulder pads.”
Although there have been some complaints, the majority of fans have argued that it is not a big issue. They believe that we should be grateful for finally having a comic-accurate suit and should not nitpick every little detail. While it may be slightly frustrating that the shoulder pads are missing in the sleeveless look, it does not ruin the overall viewing experience of the movie. One fan wrote on Twitter, “Just be happy we have a comic-accurate suit and stop complaining about minor things.”
Another Twitter user expressed their opinion, stating, “You all are very particular! I understand that this is something we’ve been waiting for, but can’t we just be happy?”They continued, “I remember when I was 10 years old and saw Wolverine in a black leather suit because The Matrix was popular. Now he’s wearing a yellow suit and teaming up with Deadpool. I couldn’t care less if his shoulder guards get torn off.”A third user also shared their thoughts on the matter.
