Yellowstone Actor’s New Netflix Horror Film Receives Divided Rotten Tomatoes Score

Netflix recently released a new horror film produced by Sam Raimi, featuring Kelsey Asbille from Yellowstone, but its polarized Rotten Tomatoes ratings suggest that viewers might either love or despise it.

If you’ve been keeping up with the latest streaming releases, you might have come across Sam Raimi’s newest horror venture available on Netflix. Titled Don’t Move, this R-rated thriller stars Kelsey Asbille (who plays Monica Dutton in Yellowstone) and depicts a woman’s desperate struggle for survival.

In the movie, Asbille portrays Iris, a young woman who finds herself injected with a paralytic drug, leaving her a mere 20 minutes before her body completely shuts down. With a menacing serial killer on her trail, escaping is her only chance.

With October here, the month is brimming with true crime tales and chilling narratives. While the big hit of the season is Anna Kendrick’s Woman of the Hour, which explores the real-life story of the Dating Game Killer, Don’t Move has managed to evoke mixed reactions.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, this Raimi-produced flick holds a 72% score on the Tomatometer, but a lower 48% on the Popcornmeter, raising doubts about whether it’s worth your viewing time.

Social media reflects this divided opinion, where some fans are praising the film while others bluntly dismiss it.

One viewer shared, “I’ve watched some really bad movies on Netflix, but Don’t Move might just take the top spot,”while another remarked, “Did anyone else catch that terrible film on Netflix, Don’t Move? It’s just so absurd.”

On the other hand, a different user praised it, stating, “It’s a straightforward premise but executed remarkably well. The cinematography is impressive, and the tension is palpable. This could be one of the best Netflix Originals of the year.”

Another commentator called it “the ultimate survival nightmare! Kelsey Asbille’s character is immobilized, battling for her life against a relentless predator. It’s tense, original, and filled with suspense—definitely a great choice for Halloween thrills. Worth a watch!”

Don’t Move is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
