A casting call for Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 has confirmed the reappearance of a beloved character that is familiar to all country enthusiasts.
The Yellowstone cast includes a number of authentic country singers, such as Luke Grimes, Ryan Bingham, and the show’s lead actor, Kevin Costner. The highly anticipated second half of Season 5 is quickly approaching, and it is expected that most of the original cast will be reprising their roles (with the notable exception of Costner).
Despite lingering questions about previous guest stars on the show, an extras casting call has confirmed that Lainey Wilson will reprise her role as Abby in the final episodes.
The music in the Yellowstone soundtrack heavily showcased Wilson’s work, and in Season 5 she was finally introduced in person. She fittingly portrayed a fictional singer in the show, who was hired to perform at an event held at the Dutton Ranch in Episode 1.
While at the ranch, she caught the attention of ranch hand Ryan and even discussed with Beth Dutton the benefits of dating a cowboy. She appeared in Episodes 3, 6, and 7 as a possible love interest for Ryan.
Yellowstone Extras Casting initially advertised for extras through social media for an upcoming concert scene featuring Wilson, with filming to take place in Texas.
Although submissions are no longer being accepted, this post does reassure fans that Wilson will make another on-screen appearance.
Ever since her first album release in 2014, Wilson has risen to become one of the biggest names in country music today, earning multiple platinum records and a Grammy award. In addition to her appearances in Yellowstone, her song ‘Out of Oklahoma’ was also featured on the Twisters soundtrack.
Although it is not yet confirmed, it is expected that she will play a role in the upcoming Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2, which is set to return on November 10. Fans eagerly await to see if she and Ryan can make it through their challenges.
