Yellowstone Star Addresses Season 6 Speculations and Talks of “Another Chapter”

Yellowstone Season 6 may (or may not) be in development, but it’s clear that Cole Hauser is eager to return.

During the prolonged wait for the release date of Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2, fans were hit with two significant disappointments: Kevin Costner’s departure from the series and the announcement that these upcoming episodes would conclude the acclaimed show.

However, this may not be the end. The Yellowstone franchise is set to broaden its horizons with upcoming titles such as 1923 Season 2, 6666, 1944, and a new spinoff series called The Madison, suggesting that Yellowstone Season 6 could still be a possibility.

In August this year, Variety reported that Yellowstone stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are in discussions to reprise their roles as Beth and Rip. It’s currently uncertain whether this would be the final season or a continuation of the flagship series.

This news follows a report from Puck News indicating that Reilly, Hauser, and Luke Grimes (Kayce Dutton) have joined the cast of The Madison series, pointing to possible confusion regarding their Season 6 negotiations.

In a recent interview with Fox News, Hauser spoke about the potential for another season. He expressed uncertainty regarding its continuation but shared his enthusiasm for the prospect.

“I can’t comment right now, but I mean, listen, in a perfect world, I think it would be amazing to see this thing go on, but there’s a lot of different people involved in that decision,” he noted.

“I’m a hired gun. I ain’t a producer, I ain’t the studio head, just a hired gun. But I hope so. I hope it really happens because it would be fun.”

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Reilly hinted that “there’s potentially another chapter. It’s being talked about now.”

“Nothing is set in stone,” she emphasized. “But if Taylor [Sheridan] wants to write it, I would want to do it. That’s it. Because he’s the one that’s written every single line I’ve ever said. She came from his imagination. But we’re both in agreement that there’s a shift that has to take place.

“You can’t keep telling the same story. This story is ending. Yellowstone as we know it is ending, but if there is more story to tell with some of the characters, it’s going to be a little different.”
