Yellowstone star is “unrecognizable” as Fast & Furious villain you’ve never noticed

Despite being known as Yellowstone’s rebellious resident, Rip, Cole Hauser has been in the industry for much longer than his infamous character. Many fans are surprised they never recognized him before.

Hauser has been a prominent figure in the Yellowstone cast since the beginning of the Western show, serving as John Dutton’s trusted right-hand man and Beth’s love interest. Rip continues to play a significant role, remaining loyal to the Dutton family.

Before his time at the Dutton Ranch, Hauser had already made a name for himself in the film industry, with roles in prominent movies such as Dazed and Confused, Good Will Hunting, Pitch Black, and 2 Fast 2 Furious.

It is the latter that has particularly surprised fans, as a screenshot from the action movie is circulating on Reddit. It is evident that Hauser’s appearance, sporting a cream suit and a clean-shaven face, is a stark contrast to his character Rip.

It’s wild to me that these two are the same person. byu/biglenny26 inYellowstonePN

The remarks on the post demonstrate the significant role Rip has played in shaping Hauser’s persona, as many fans are astounded to discover that the two are indeed the same individual.

“One person exclaimed, ‘I can’t believe it! I just saw Pitch Black only two nights ago and I had no clue he was also Verone in 2 Fast 2 Furious. How did I not realize that?’”

“Another person chimed in, “I was introduced to Yellowstone by my brother and he immediately pointed out who he was. I was shocked! He looks incredibly handsome with a beard and more toned physique. It’s still hard for me to believe.”

A third individual shared, “I began watching the show a month ago and noticed his name in the opening credits. I was looking forward to seeing him in the first few episodes, but it wasn’t until the 3rd episode that I realized he was Rip.”

If one is not familiar with the Fast and Furious storyline, it should be noted that Hauser portrays Carter Verone, a notorious drug kingpin who turns out to be the main antagonist when he orders the assassination of Brian and Roman while they are working for him (in an undercover capacity, of course).

This is where the true nature of the Rip connection becomes more apparent. Rip may not be a drug dealer, but he has witnessed plenty of murders in the past. Anyone up for a visit to the Train Station?
