A potential addition to YouTube, the Brainstorm with Gemini feature, could potentially enhance the platform’s competitive edge by utilizing AI to assist creators with generating insights and content ideas.
Many content creators face ongoing pressure to consistently produce and share fresh content. They frequently express frustration with a lack of new ideas, and YouTube aims to address this common annoyance.
According to an announcement released on its Insiders Channel, YouTube is currently in the process of testing a new feature in YouTube Studio called “Brainstorm with Gemini.”This tool utilizes Google’s generative AI platform Gemini to assist creators in generating ideas, titles, and thumbnails for their videos.
The experiment’s feature is currently being tested with a select group of creators. According to a spokesperson from YouTube who spoke to TechCrunch, the success of the testing will determine the extent of the feature’s release.
The Brainstorm with Gemini tool is found within the YouTube Studio, alongside a comparable “inspiration tool”that was previously introduced in May of this year.
Users taking part in the activity will be given the choice to utilize either tool. Despite the fact that the inspiration tool currently aids creators in developing video concepts, YouTube aims to investigate whether creators also benefit from brainstorming with Gemini.
According to YouTube, after a creator inputs their content idea into the search box and utilizes the “Brainstorm with Gemini”feature, they will receive information such as various prompts, concepts, trend notes, and suggestions.
Based on Google Search activity, the suggestions provide content creators with ideas and insights that are likely to increase viewership.
While Meta’s AI avatar enables creators to produce a virtual representation of themselves, YouTube aims to enhance creator earnings by incorporating Generative AI into the content creation process.
Additionally, the incorporation of Brainstorm and Gemini into YouTube Studio may have the goal of encouraging creators to utilize Google products instead of relying on other external chatbots such as ChatGPT, Claude, and others.
