YouTuber BeerBiceps Under Police Investigation for Controversial Comments

YouTuber Ranveer ‘BeerBiceps’ Allahbadia has issued an apology following his “inappropriate”remarks on the show India’s Got Latent, which led to police involvement.

Since launching his podcast, The Ranveer Show, in 2015, Allahbadia has captivated audiences by interviewing a wide range of well-known influencers, celebrities, and public figures. This strategy has propelled him to significant popularity, boasting over 8 million subscribers on YouTube alongside millions more on various social media platforms.

His growing fame has also opened doors to television appearances in India. However, a careless comment made during a recent episode of India’s Got Latent has ignited fierce criticism.

Backlash and Apology for Inappropriate Comments

During his appearance, Allahbadia made a vulgar remark directed at a participant concerning their parents, which was quickly met with backlash.

In response to the public outcry, Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, announced via a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the Guwahati police had filed a First Information Report (FIR) against multiple YouTubers and influencers, including Ranveer Allahbadia, for “promoting obscenity and engaging in explicit and vulgar discussion” on the show. Sarma noted that the investigation is actively ongoing.

Following the incident, Allahbadia took to social media to express his regret. In a video shared on X, he acknowledged the inappropriate nature of his comment, stating, “it wasn’t even funny.”

“My comment wasn’t just inappropriate; it lacked humor. Comedy is not my strength, and I’m here to sincerely apologize, ” he said. He also emphasized his intention to use his platform responsibly, asserting that he does not want to be the type of influencer who disregards the potential impact of his words, especially given the diverse age range of his audience.

Allahbadia further indicated that he has requested the producers to remove the insensitive portions from the episode. He assured his followers that he is committed to improving his content moving forward.

The outcome of the investigation remains uncertain for Allahbadia and his fellow influencers named in the FIR, as this marks just the initial step in examining the comments made on the show. Notably, Allahbadia is not alone in facing scrutiny this year; on February 5, 2025, YouTuber Brendan McMartin was arrested for speeding in his Nissan GT-R supercar.
