YouTuber Claims to Identify Jessi’s ‘Fan Assault’ Perpetrator Through Website Referrer ID and Gang Ties

Details surrounding the incident came to light via a YouTube channel. On October 28th, the channel “Shamu” posted a video titled “[Exclusive] Identity of the Assault Case Perpetrator Involving Jessi’s Fan: Name and Age Revealed,” which focused on identifying the individual involved in the assault against Jessi’s fan.

As outlined in the video, the suspect operates an Instagram account with a username that merges the phrase “Why so serious?” —a well-known quote from the character Joker in the film The Dark Knight—along with a number, resulting in the nickname “Joker.”

This Instagram user, dubbed “Joker,” had a link to a cosmetics company on their profile page. The YouTuber was able to uncover the user’s name by analyzing the “referrer” ID found on that website, leading to the name “Justin Ma.”

A search for this name utilized a people-finding tool, which indicated that Justin Ma resides in the San Gabriel Valley area of Los Angeles, California, USA.

Justin Ma was born in September 1987, and it was noted that the numerical portion of his Instagram ID began with “09,” correlating with his birth month.

Furthermore, an email address associated with Justin Ma was disclosed, matching an ID from an ancient YouTube account that featured a video from 16 years ago, which also named him as the perpetrator, adding weight to the allegations.

The accused, referred to as “A,” allegedly assaulted an individual who approached for a photo with Jessi in Apgujeong, Gangnam, Seoul, on September 29th of last month. During the incident, Jessi did not intervene and left the area. Following the victim’s report, when police sought information about the suspect from Jessi’s group, they reportedly claimed ignorance, stating, “We don’t know.”

Jessi’s representatives clarified, asserting, “We have no ties to the accused; he is a friend of a producer close to Jessi.” The police have since summoned both Jessi and the producer for interrogation.

There have also been a number of speculative posts concerning the alleged perpetrator “A.” Rumors suggest he is affiliated with a gang mainly operating in Los Angeles and is of Taiwanese descent. This gang is reportedly involved in drug trafficking and gambling, which are said to be their primary revenue sources.

On October 23rd, Jessi issued a second Instagram apology. Despite an earlier statement of remorse, the continuing public backlash necessitated a further address. In her message, she expressed a desire to rewind time, stating, “If I had taken a photo with the victim, been more proactive in safeguarding him, immediately alerted the police, or properly apologized, the victim wouldn’t be enduring this pain.”
