Yuta Okkotsu’s Highly Anticipated Return to the Jujutsu Kaisen Cover Has Fans Ecstatic

Yuta Okkotsu solidified his position as one of the strongest and most impressive characters in Jujutsu Kaisen during the Shinjuku Showdown arc. Not only did he permanently defeat Kenjaku and devise multiple backup plans to confront Sukuna in case Satoru Gojo died, but he also selflessly offered to take over his cherished mentor’s body, sacrificing his own humanity in order to lay the King of Curses to rest.

Despite previously downplaying his abilities, the majority of the fandom now sees Yuta in a positive light. This change in perception is evident as he recently appeared on the cover of Jujutsu Kaisen volume 28, causing his fans to express tears of joy on social media. This marks Yuta’s first appearance on a cover after 27 volumes, which his fans are celebrating.

Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 28 Cover: The Long-Awaited Return of Yuta Okkotsu

Despite Yuta Okkotsu’s popularity as one of the main characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, he has only appeared on the cover of one volume. This was back in December 4, 2018, when the manga released volume 0. In comparison, other characters such as Satoru Gojo, Ryomen Sukuna, Kenjaku, and even Mahito have appeared on multiple volume covers.

Despite the announcement that the Jujutsu Kaisen manga will be concluding on September 30, 2024, fans continue to implore the mangaka, Gege Akutami, to feature Yuta on the cover of the final volume in the series.

Luckily for enthusiasts, it appears that their wishes were granted when the cover for the 28th volume of Jujutsu Kaisen was recently unveiled on social media, showcasing Yuta Okkotsu on the front.

Fans were ecstatic when they saw the return of their favorite character on the cover of Jujutsu Kaisen volume 28, which is scheduled to be published in Japan on October 4, 2024. This volume will include chapters 246-254 and is expected to be one of the final three volumes of the manga, as each volume typically contains 8 chapters.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating Yuta’s second volume cover for quite some time, especially considering his slim chances of making it through the Shinjuku Showdown arc. In chapter 263, the effects of his Copy technique wore off, leaving him trapped in Satoru Gojo’s body. This has only heightened the excitement for his long-awaited cover.

Despite only having 4 more chapters left after the release of chapter 267, fans are hopeful that Akutami will deliver a satisfying conclusion to the ongoing arc and remaining characters. However, considering the inevitable downfall of Sukuna and the remaining characters, it seems unlikely that Yuta will have a happy ending.

How Fans Reacted to the Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 28 Cover

“MY GOAT LOOKS AMAZING GOD DAMNNNN”, wrote one fan.

“HE LOOKS SO PRETTYYY”, wrote another.

“Yuta Okkotsu taking center stage! Can’t wait to see what’s inside”, another chimed in.

Conversely, there were even speculations about whether the figure on the volume 28 cover was truly Gojo inside Yuta’s body, especially considering the strong aura of self-assurance emanating from the latter.

“This gotta be gojo in yutas body why he got so much aura”, one fan claimed.

“He has really come a long way to look this confident now…”, said one fan.
