Fortnite has announced the format and prize pool for the FNCS 2025 season, reintroducing a surprising feature.
With the 2024 Fortnite competitive season coming to a close, EXD athletes Pollo and Peterbot emerged as FNCS Global Champions, triumphing over 24 other duos. The two-day tournament took place at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, where 50 qualified participants from FNCS Majors vied for a prize pool of $2,002,000 along with the prestigious gold FNCS trophy.
Notable competitors included 2019 World Cup Champion Bugha, streamer and XSET owner Clix, as well as past FNCS Globals winners like Veno, Cooper, Mero, Kami, and Setty. The 2024 champions dominated the competition, securing a remarkable 147-point lead over the runners-up and achieving 4 Victory Royales during the Globals.
As the winners were celebrated and awarded a prize of $400,000, Fortnite unveiled the format and prize pool for the 2025 FNCS season.

Fortnite FNCS 2025 Prize Pool and Format
Fortnite has announced that the prize pool for the 2025 FNCS season will be $8,000,000, which is $1 million more than the previous year. This increase is due to the shift to a Trios format, replacing the Duos format utilized for the last two seasons.
In this new format, Trios teams will compete in FNCS Regional Tournaments throughout the season, with the top teams advancing to the FNCS Global Championship 2025.
The complete qualification format and regional schedule will be provided later, and updates will be shared as the details become available.

Siphon, a beloved Battle Royale mechanic, is making its return in the FNCS 2025 season after a two-year hiatus.
Before its inclusion in Majors and Globals matches, Fortnite will host a separate competition called Siphon Trials to assess its functionality in Trios lobbies under the new season’s gameplay.
Following a comprehensive evaluation, Epic will determine whether to implement it in competitive FNCS matches throughout the year.
