On June 5th, ADOR issued a statement stating that they have been closely monitoring various online communities and have observed the dissemination of harmful comments, defamation, and false information about NewJeans members. They also noted a recent surge in anonymous posts aimed at NewJeans.
The agency strongly stated that they are actively preparing for legal action, including the filing of both civil and criminal lawsuits. They emphasized that there will be no room for compromise or leniency during the entire process.
Additionally, ADOR stated their intention to exhaust all resources in identifying anonymous authors of posts on online platforms, which can be challenging to trace, and pursue legal measures.
ADOR additionally furnished an authorized account for legal inquiries and urged supporters to actively report any harmful actions.
