A passionate Marvel enthusiast recently captured footage on the set of the much-anticipated Avengers: Doomsday, a video that has generated considerable buzz before its subsequent deletion. Within this footage lies a detail that intriguingly connects it to the X-Men universe.
As a pivotal entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Avengers: Doomsday is set to deliver yet another epic team-up reminiscent of Avengers: Endgame. Among the notable casting announcements, Robert Downey Jr.is set to return, not as Iron Man, but in the role of Doctor Doom. This intriguing shift has set the stage for dramatic developments.
The film is set to feature an array of heroes, including members of the Fantastic Four, several Thunderbolts characters, Captain America, Thor, as well as familiar faces from the Fox universe, such as Patrick Stewart’s Professor X and Ian McKellen’s Magneto. The combination of these characters promises a thrilling cross-pollination of storylines.
Filming for the movie has been underway in London since March 2025. Despite rigorous efforts to maintain secrecy, a social media user known as @theyneversawitcoming surprisingly managed to document a visit to the set.
Leak Reveals Madripoor Bar in Avengers: Doomsday
In the leaked clip, which is no longer available on TikTok but can be found on the user’s Instagram, viewers were treated to a glimpse of a bar located in Madripoor. For those unfamiliar, Madripoor is a fictional island in Southeast Asia known for its chaotic and lawless environment.
This venue is recognized for its status as a neutral ground for a mix of outcasts, mercenaries, and mutants. Notably, it has strong connections to Wolverine from the Marvel comics, particularly through his alias, Patch.
Madripoor made its cinematic debut in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where it was presented as the new operational base for Sharon Carter, who was secretly maneuvering as the Power Broker—the enigmatic arms dealer in the series.
The inclusion of Madripoor in Avengers: Doomsday could hint at several significant narrative developments. Firstly, it may provide closure to the long-running arc involving Sharon Carter. Alternatively, it could also function as a crucial setting for the introduction of mutants into the MCU or even pave the way for Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine to make an appearance. While rumors of his involvement have circulated, official confirmation from the studio is still pending.
Given the merging narratives from the Fox X-Men legacy into the wider MCU, Madripoor could serve as the epicenter where new alliances are forged and battles against Doctor Doom unfold.
This revelation has sparked enthusiasm among fans. One user on X/Twitter posed the question, “Is it time for the Power Broker’s return?” while another inquired, “Wolverine?” A third commenter suggested, “If we get Madripoor in this movie, it would be great to finally resolve the Sharon/Power-Broker storyline, potentially in an opening action scene to introduce Sam’s team and/or reintroduce Yelena’s team.”
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.
