Baldur’s Gate 3 players alert about this Gauntlet of Shar bug

The Gauntlet of Shar dungeon in Baldur’s Gate 3 contains an unusual bug that can remove players’ weapons if they are not cautious.

There are plenty of weapons available to heroes and villains in Baldur’s Gate 3. So, an effective strategy is to disarm them, forcing them to drop their weapons to the ground, and allowing you to steal them.

The Warrior class had a reputation for being boring in D&D. However, the Warmaster subclass in 5E changed all that. In Baldur’s Gate 3, the Warmaster is among the best subclasses for disarming opponents, thanks to his Disarm special attack.

Unfortunately, disarming can be annoying in a specific location, as items can be permanently lost if players aren’t careful.

The Mirror boss fight in Baldur’s Gate 3 can remove weapons

Reddit user u/Neodym60 reported a bug that can occur in the Gauntlet of Shar dungeon when the player fights doubles of his group. This fight can result in the permanent loss of weapons when certain conditions are met.

During the fight, a duplicate of the player’s Warmaster disarmed the group’s Witch, causing her staff to fall. The Warrior then made the same movement to the witch’s double. The latter therefore picked up the staff of the original Witch and used it in combat.

When the fight ended, the doubles disappeared without leaving any loot behind them, taking the staff in the process. This means that there is a way for the objects to be permanently deleted. However, this requires a very specific set of circumstances to occur.

It is possible that this situation occurred to avoid an object duplication bug. We know the Larian developers are fans of this process. If duplicate party equipment is automatically removed, this prevents players from duplicating equipment or items.

Hopefully this bug will be fixed in a future update. Because even if it is specific, it can be very annoying for players who encounter it.
