Blumhouse Promises 2025 Horror Will Be “Epic” with Four Mega Franchise Returns

Are you already blown away by the horror releases in 2024? Just wait until you see what Blumhouse has in store for 2025 – their “epic”horror slate will surely leave you stunned.

Despite only being halfway through the year, 2024 has already seen a significant number of freaky horror movies, with popular titles such as MaXXXine, Longlegs, and Terrifier 3 still yet to be released.

Despite this year’s challenges, Jason Blum, CEO of horror powerhouse Blumhouse Productions, believes that the upcoming year of 2025 will surpass anything we’ve seen so far.

Blum can confidently have the last laugh, as four of his major hits – Insidious, M3GAN, The Black Phone, and Five Nights at Freddy’s – are all slated to make a comeback with new releases in the coming year.

The individual took to X/Twitter to announce, “Hey everyone. We have plans to release new Megan and Black Phone and FNAF and Insidious projects next year. Get ready for an epic ’25.”

Despite the Insidious franchise having been active since 2010, the video game adaptation Five Nights at Freddy’s was only added to the roster last year. All four IPs already had release dates set for 2025 before Blum’s post – however, the exact content of these releases remains to be seen.

“Wow Jason, you really went all out on a Wednesday,”one fan replied, while another chimed in, “You’re doing this all next year? That’s amazing!”

A third person concurred, stating that “Blumhouse is known for producing the top horror films.”

Despite this, there are some who are unsure about how a sequel to The Black Phone could be possible, as the first film ended with The Grabber’s capture. Perhaps if the new movie were a prequel delving into The Grabber’s origins, then Blumhouse might be working on something… but that is just speculation at this point.

Similarly to M3GAN’s final scenes, Insidious 6 also does not reveal its plot, leaving room for speculation about a potential focus on AI control.

For now, discover additional new movies available for streaming this month, an explanation of the ending of Five Nights at Freddy’s, and all the information we have about M3GAN 2.0.
